Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009!

2008 has been a great year for me. Honestly, this is the first time in a year I have been to many great places. New friendships were formed and old bonds were strengthened. I met many interesting people, see new places that I never thought I will. So, here are the list of the great things that happened to me in 2008.

1) Got a new phone! YEAY!

Ok, this is really stewpid but yes, this is ever the first time my dad ever give me something this expensive. =)

I love my Brownie!

2) Gypsy turns 21 in June 2008

Yeah, I turned 21 (legal age for casino) and I threw a party for it. More like my mum, PrincessX, Sharpay and LuLu help me with it. And I was very thankful because without them, I would not be able to even have the party. And I appreciate the fact that they come all the way from other states just to help me organize this party.

Thank you babes.

3) Visit Singapore

It was one of my most exciting moment to visit Singapore. It was also the first time I travelled to other country alone with another friend of mine, PrincessX.
Singapore, in my opinion, is a great country. Love their public transport and toilet. Two thumbs up!

4) Bikini

Gypsy who never ever will wear a bikini is coaxed by A1l1n to actually tried it on...but it was fun though.

5) Dived in Sipadan Island

Known as one of the world diving site, this is truly a dream come true. The 11 hours of bus ride from Inanam, KK to Semporna is definitely worth it. The beauty of the reefs, the handsome sea turtles swimming by and the napoleon wrasse certainly left me amaze with such beautiful underwater world.

6) Paintball

For the first time, I tried on paintball and fall in love with it. It was certainly a memory to remember because it was also the first time, a bond between 6 people were formed.

7) Went to Genting with 3 complete stranger and Cameron Highland road trip with me driving.

and later, we become good friends...

can't believe this kelisa actually made it that far

8) Stayed a night at the Tune hotel which is only 5 minutes away from our Kingfisher house

Honestly, this is the craziest we've ever done. But it was memorable! We even dressed in formal and went to posh dinner at the Bella Italia!

9) Visit the Angkor Wat in Cambodia

This will probably be the highlight of the year 2008. Cambodia, is one great country with its world heritage, the Angkor Wat. We even covered Phnom Penh so generally, we have travelled the whole Cambodia. I will miss this one a lot.

J'aime Cambodia!

10) Great friends

No doubt life is meaningless without good friends around. I have met many new friends and some of them become really close with me.

First, the PBG. You guys have brought so much fun and lights to our friendships. I never regretted the day I agreed to go to Bukit Cahaya with you guys.

Rachie, from complete stranger to now, my closest babe in DYC. I lurve you.

Justin, you know who you are.

Leonie and Mandy, it's great knowing you guys and shared all the stuffs we never did

C.D., 4 years of friendship, and we're still going strong. Lurve ya.

I am ready to bid goodbye to 2008 and welcome the 2009. Where are you guys ushering the New Year?

Till then, Goodbye 2008 and Hello 2009!

I miss...

Guess what is it that Gypsy is missing?

Hint 1...

Did I hear someone say ice-cream?

WRONG! - wait. Half correct lah.

Yep...it's Swensen's! Gawd...I never tried Swensen's in Malaysia because it is a little overpriced but when Zen and me spotted the Swensen's in Cambodia (and it is freaking cheap!) we were the happiest girls on Earth!

They are taking so damn long to choose six flavours!

Yeay! Finally! Those 3 only cost us US$5.70

*sigh* I miss them

p/s - By the way, do you guys like my new blog header???

Santa, I have been good this year...

I will say Christmas celebration is a little festive on the street compared to the Peninsula. A few days ago, Sharpay and me went to the Gaya Street to have a look at their Christmas celebration. It was packed with people.

and for the first time, I saw a group of people carolling!

The decoration at One Borneo is not bad. In fact, it was more than what I have expected.

They have this whole fairytale theme going on.

more like Tinkerbell for me

nice, no?

And I got myself a small christmas present! Yep, M.A.C lipgloss after contemplating on it for so long.

and I am also lucky to receive 2 special christmas present...the above is the puzzle put together by Sharpay. Look! She even made the frame herself and got her finger cut because of it! Awww...thanks hun!

my favourite disney princess will be Beauty and the Beast

and the second one is a scarf from LuLu! She knitted it herself okay??? So it is special!!

please do not mind about the not matching shirt!

Merry Christmas everyone, and Happy Holidays!

I blardy emo for a week!

*I swear by the end of this post, I will not be depressed anymore*

I am officially back here in KK, Sabah fo a week with no roommate around of any of my favourite girlfriends. (except Sharpay and LuLu but both have boyf to attend to).

I cried twice because of 1) loneliness and 2) homesick! The second time was when I read how all the KCBA DYC committees were having a blast at Pyramid and how I could not be there, and yes, I got all depressed.

Sometimes, being alone in the room with nothing to do, I will start to feel all emo and homesick. I start to lose all the appetite and only eats one meal per day. ( and that is to prevent me from getting gastric)

When Lulu and Sharpay told me to just accept the fact that I am here, I think they do not really understand why am I depressed and I do not blame them either.

I am still thinking of how to celebrate christmas eve and at times, it gets pretty scary if I have to be all alone again during christmas eve when everyone from camp is there at Jessy's house.

I hate to be like this! I am never this weak! This is so not me!

I promise to try get out of this...

Angkor Wat, Cambodia - Part 2

Phnom Bakheng

This place is awesome for sunset! But because we did not bring torchlights, we did not manage to watch the whole sun set because it will be too dark to walk back to the place where we came from. We had to jungle-trek for almost 20 minutes to get to this place.

the view from the top here is awesome

love love love Cambodia

Pre Rup

There are just too many freaking 'Wat' in the Angkor Wat...So guys, I am so sorry that I am not going to explain each and every one of them.

i love this image captured by my own camera phone...so proud of my phone. LOL!

gypsy in Pre Rup

don't ask me why the pose...A1l1n wanted to be all bootylicious but this certainly do not look like one

gypsy is always the camera girl

whose ass is sexier?

Bantey Srei

A1l1n looking good with the sunrays

i just love the reflections on the water

kev, a1l1n, gypsy, zen, loony and J

there are more of the group photos now because we left the tripod at the hotel on the first day

I love love love this picture of me! All thanks to Zen, I did not know when she capture this...don't you guys think it is a bit like the whole avoiding-the-papparazi scene? Ahahaha! *perasan case*

see? I told you! The camera just loves Gypsy! LOL!

Ta Keo

the guys going crazy and hyper but I love this shot! not easy to take this one!

Preah Khan

I gotta say that I love shooting pictures at Preah Khan and Ta Phrom. They have the most interesting structure of temples of all. As you can see, the roots of the trees are actually almost devouring the whole temple up.

panaroma shots rawks baby!

this picture in black and white looks a little haunting to me

i purposely take it in black and white to make it look really ancient...what do you guys think? nice?

impersonating S.H.E

j'adore our friendship

*ouch*

Ta Phrom

Now, I was very excited when I know we were going to Ta Phrom. First of all, this is where Angelina Jolie shot Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. And second, as I mention above, it is as interested as Preah Khan because of its structure.

look at the carvings...c'est magnifique!

amazing, no?

We took a break twice...

with pineapples! I swear if you ever been to Cambodia, you gotta try the pineapples! They are sweet!

and coconuts!

one last picture of the day...*this is used to be the hospital according to our driver...but it doesn't look like a hospital to me*
